Our School Day

As a parent you are legally responsible for making sure your child attends school regularly.

 

Timings of the School Day:
Drop off: 8.40 - 8:45am (doors close at 8:45)
Pick Up: 3.15pm

 

A Typical Day at Oakley School [Primary]:
This will differ for EYFS

8.40am - 8.45am Children start to arrive and go directly to their classrooms

8:45am  Registration

10.15am  Playtime 

12.15pm - 1.00pm  Lunch

1.00pm   Afternoon registration

3.15 pm   End of the school day

We encourage you and your child to develop a positive attitude toward regular attendance and punctuality. These habits help your child make the most of learning opportunities and build valuable life skills such as reliability and responsibility.

Punctuality also reduces stress and helps your child start the day confidently and calmly. In contrast, poor attendance disrupts learning, affects progress, and can lead to negative long-term habits.

Our aim is to ensure children are only absent when absolutely necessary.
