Philosophy Statement
Our mission is to inspire each student to respect and pursue educational and moral growth while developing individual skills crucial to success in a complex, changing world.
Healthy Students: We believe that Oakley School should be a place where children can excel in academics, develop positive emotional communication skills, enhance their sense of accountability and responsibility, and discover new strengths.
Strong Families: We believe in reconnecting students with their families and, we encourage healthy and productive interactions. We are committed to providing a wide variety of programs and events to help families make the positive changes that will strengthen their relationships and enhance their ability to support and nurture each other.
Personal Responsibility: We believe that it is healthy and necessary for each of our students to question their choices, experiment with a good choice and feel the reinforcement and gratification for a good choice. We also provide students with the opportunity to make poor choices and navigate through the lesson and begin to internalize their ownership of what they really need each day.
Service to Others: At the core of all Oakley courses, modules, dorm life, and student interaction is our commitment to community service. It is our intention to expose each student to various ways to serve others, so they can take the focus off of themselves and instead learn how to make valuable and lasting contributions to their homes, schools and communities.
Also, as a proud member of CRC Health Group, we embrace CRC’s five core values:
- Respect – for our students and their families, our employees, and our community
- Integrity – in our dealings with all those whose lives we touch
- Accountability – to our students and their families, and to our colleagues
- Responsibility – for the decisions we make and the actions we take
- Excellence – in every task we perform
